MAD* UPDATES!!!
Posted on Sep 29, 2011
Ever sit there and ponder, what have they been doing over at the MAD* Factory?? Well, I would like to say the answer is playing dress up and listening to musicals all day!!!! That is not the case, but we have been very productive and having lots of fun.
We have been finishing up class details and are ready to go!!! It is sure to be an amazing semester. On the up side we are able to run almost all of our classes this semester. The only class that is too under enrolled is our little kids story theatre class. :( WE DO STIILL HAVE SPACE LEFT IN ROALD DAHL’S WILLY WONKA CLASS!!! This is an awesome class for ages 8-13, with 10 kids signed up–and space for 10 more!
We have also been trying with all our might to find off site outreach where we can have a fun time teaching our games to kids all over Lorain County. We are meeting with both The Boys and Girls Club and Horizon activities center next week, so wish us luck!
Things are also getting under way for our annual signature fundraiser, The MAD* Factory Frolic. I have send out over 25 letters to companies for sponsorship and raffle donations already, with more to come! Mark your calendars now, the event is SATURDAY, MARCH 31, you don’ t want to miss is. I will be sure to follow up with event details!
We are also getting very close to choosing our winter show!! We are looking at a few different shows, but one of our choices, Tuck Everlasting, is now out of the question because the rights are not available. Oh well, there are lots of shows out there—stay tuned!!! Whatever the show is, auditions are Sunday December 11th for ages 13 and up, from 2-4PM!
Thank you for all of your continued support!!!

- My friend wanted to join Murder Mystery but she couldn't because it conflicted (is that even a word?) with her sports schedule. She does, however, want to see the show. She asked me to ask you if it was free and if not, how much tickets were. Could you tell me? Oh and she promised she would do MAD camp, so you'll meet her in the summer. Thank you!

- Hey Ella!!! Too bad she can't do the class! I'm so happy the script we chose, "The Last Dance of Dr. Disco" by Eileen Moushey is going to work out! I think it is hysterical!!!
As far as the cost for the final performance goes we have not yet discussed the details. There WILL be a charge since the show will be accompanied by a spaghetti dinner. As soon as we know the details we will send flyers home so you can invite all your friends and family. It is sure to be an amazing show!!!
We look forward to having your friend this summer!!
