Teen Camp

Ages: 13–19

When: Monday through Friday from 10:00am to 3:30pm, June 11 - June 15, 2012.

Location: The MAD* Factory

Tuition: $50

Campers are required to audition for “Into the Woods” on either May 6th or May 13th from 1-4PM!

In addition to working on music for Into the Woods and developing characters through acting and improvisation exercises, this weeklong intensive camp will focus on creating 1-minute commercials to advertise Into the Woods.

Campers will brainstorm plots, write scripts, storyboard, rehearse and film their own commercials. The campers will continue to prepare for the production throughout June and July during evening rehearsals.

Final performances will be July 27, 28, and 29, and August 3, 4, and 5.

MAD* Camp

Ages: 6 - 12

When: Monday through Friday from 10:00am to 3:30pm, June 18 - July 6, 2012.

Location: Oberlin High School

Tuition: $300

MAD* Camp is a fun introduction to acting! Campers will learn movement and stage blocking, memorize lines, make props and costumes, and make new friends. Aside from learning a short scripted play, campers also participate in a variety of group activities, which include many creative exercises, games, songs, arts and crafts, a scavenger hunt, and our annual water battle!

We strive to provide an encouraging, positive, and non-competitive atmosphere and we welcome all types of curious young actors who are ready to exercise their imaginations!

There will be a final performance of our plays on stage at Oberlin High School for family and friends on the last day of camp, July 6th.

Mini MAD* Camp

Ages: 4 - 5

When: Monday through Friday from 10:00am to 12:00pm, July 9 - July 13, 2012.

Location: The MAD* Factory

Tuition: $100

Come have fun with us! In this camp designed for children ages 4&5, we will explore beginning acting through exercises and activities chosen to develop and encourage listening skills, self confidence, creative expression, and teamwork. A lot of creativity is packed into 2 hours! Students will participate in many simple beginning acting games which encourage creativity, confidence and personal expression. Each day of camp will be filled with games and songs, a story about our friends under the ocean, and crafts like making Wally the Whale! Swim on over to The MAD* Factory to make some new friends and have a great time!
