This class is VIRTUAL. Kids in this class will participate in acting exercises and games while also working on a fun script for virtual performance! A fun intro to Shakespeare for kids.
A whimsical reinvention of Shakespeare's tragic love story, complete with rhymed couplets, creative wordplay, and fantastical machines -- similar to something Dr. Seuss might have come up with if he ever had his way with the script...

Nina is originally from the Philadelphia area and has been living in Oberlin ever since graduating from Oberlin Conservatory of Music in 2008 with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education. She started at The MAD* Factory as a stage manager while still in college and has been the Program Director here for 11 years. Nina plays the piano and accompanies the choirs at Firelands and Lorain high schools.
Born and raised in Northeast Ohio, Amber is a proud graduate of the Baldwin Wallace Musical Theatre Program, class of 2005. Amber has performed in numerous shows throughout Lorain County and beyond, and loves sharing her love of theatre with all the students that come through The MAD* Factory!
If your child qualifies for free/reduced meals at school, they qualify for a scholarship for our classes which would mean the cost is a $25 registration fee. We also accept requests outside of this qualification! In either case, fill out the "scholarship request" form to contact us and we will respond with forms via email!
Normaly, our policy is if a student qualifies for free or reduced meals at school, they also qualify for a scholarship for classes or camps. Given the outstanding circumstances in this particular year, we are accepting scholarship requests outside of the free/reduced meals guidelines. Please fill out the information below if you would like to be contacted about receiving a camp scholarship (minus $25 registration fee).
